The images are very intense and scary. This is a fantasy story, done in animation, about children living in war. The theme is very mature; we recommend only for young adults, ages 15 and up. The animation is beautifully done. As you watch the scenes progress, you realize the intensity of the subject - war and death. It is quite disturbing and touching; visually and intellectually stimulating. From the squeaking sounds of the empty swings at the playground to the sound of bombs falling, the wind blowing the flowers, the building being blown up, people being set on fire and the little girl being blown up - it is a very very heavy message about war.
Zaira is a little Iraqi girl who collects daisies every day in a park in Baghdad for a friend she misses.
