Kids loved this and related to the concepts it teaches. The humor is perfect for preschoolers. The episode about the Easter bunny is simply adorable. One child asked, "what would happen really if Easter was cancelled?" "The candy looked yummy in Big Bunny Blues." "The Fluterflies were pretty." "They helped each other decorate eggs, hide the eggs and find the eggs." The kids thought the balloons in Flower Day Parade were silly. One child commented, "I want to be in a parade, how do I get into one?" The kids loved the DVD, especially the Flower Day Parade episode. They were all engaged and excited.
Our jurors are real Wubbzy fans, ever since it launched on Nick in 2006. This Easter-themed title was a real hit as well. All the episodes succeed in pushing through the pro-social messages that Wubbzy does so well- teamwork, friendship, sharing, helping, appreciating others, even healthy exercise. It presents a pretty sectarian view of Easter that even non-Christians can enjoy focusing on the Easter Bunny, eggs and springtime rather than religious messages. Each episode offers a different lesson that will excite kids, while informing them. They learn lessons such as, why it is better to do something yourself rather than let a machine do it. Big Bunny Blues offers nutrition and exercise ideas that are easy for young kids to understand. Wonderfully themed, focusing on Easter and Spring activities. Each episode presents a new idea and new information on how people can interact with their surroundings. The characters are fun, friendly and easy to relate to for children.
Nobody celebrates the Easter season quite like Wubbzy and his friends! In these six egg-ceptional episodes, Wubbzy discovers new ways to decorate eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt, celebrates the first day of spring with his kickity-kick ball and has to save the holiday when Easter is cancelled! There are plenty of fun and important lessons in this collection of egg-citing Easter episodes from the town of Wuzzleburg! Episodes include: Eggs Over Easy, Big Bunny Blues, Flower Day Parade, Watch the Birdie, Wubbzy Bounces Back and Flight of the Flutterfly.
