I liked this, especially on Blu-ray because there are special features. It tells you some of the flukes that happened while they were making the film. You can also turn on subtitles for the songs. I think I like "The Sound of Music" so much because it's a musical, and I love music. It's fun to remember all the songs and sing along. My favorite part was when they were singing the song during the thunderstorm. I think my friends would like this movie because they are into music as well, and it's a really fun movie to watch.
A classic film just got even better. The hills are still alive in this delightful story of a novice-turned-governess who falls in love with a Navy captain widower with seven children. Things seem to be going well until they encounter the oppression of the Nazi regime. Loosely based on the story of an actual Austrian family, "The Sound of Music" continues to delight viewers on-screen and on the stage. The Blu-ray edition of this film offers a wealth of interactive features that let viewers show off their knowledge of the film and learn more about it. From the filming process to the history of the actors and the original von Trapp family, viewers get insight into the broad picture behind the film while watching. Check out storyboards and film locations when you have the or use the Behind-the-Scenes Images feature turned on. Sing along with the On-Screen Lyrics feature. You can even take interactive quizzes while the film is playing if you select the "Trivia Track and Location" option.
In this true-life story, Julie Andrews lights up the screen as Maria, a spirited young woman who leaves the convent to bring love and music to the home of Captain von Trapp (Christopher Plummer) and his seven children.
