This live action student production, by a middle schooler, charms you from the get go. The kids are very believable and likeable, the storyline quite fun, and the singing at the end - reminiscent of Glee - quite caps it off. Really enjoyed it. The DVD did pixelate some on my machine so be sure we get good screeners.
Eighth-grader, John Powell, is determined to do well at school, even if it means neglecting his friends. The day of the big exam, John is confident until one of his classmates switches his perfectly sharpened number 2 pencils for a blunt piece of lead. When Mary helps, he is reminded of the importance of friendship.
