This middle school student production uses music and dance to tell its story - a concept that teens can relate to. The feeling that you don't belong and trying to discover how to fit in is a universal idea for kids this age. Because one kid doesn't dance hip hop, in a hip hop world, he doesn't fit in. Another can dance but wants to "find" himself. It's a bit campy and if made by an adult you might feel differently but this was made by a 14-year-old and it's really well done. Visual and audio quality are quite good. There is a possible issue in that the kids run away. But, there are no parents shown in the story, making it somewhat of a fantasy anyway. Although the moral is real, the story is so unreal that this issue didn't bother us.
A short musical film where two middle school boys are living in a world of Hip Hop and they don't fit in. They both run away, run into each other, and find that they do have value and they can fit in to society. After learning a new form of dance, Tap, they return to their school and are accepted by the other kids.
