Kids loved the music and dancing and understood the lessons taught. They felt sorry for the giraffe at the beginning and were happy for him at the end. "He was all alone and he didn't know how to dance. He learned to dance. Then he danced for everyone and they wanted to know how he learned." "Even if you are different, you should try new things and be nice to people." "I learned to dance more prettier!" Kids said they would like to get up and dance, and they liked the different dance styles and dance moves.
A sensitive introduction to the difficult feelings we all sometimes have. The main character is a giraffe, who feels lonely when he can't dance like the other animals. His friend Cricket helps him find his "inner music," and takes he takes his inspiration back to the others, who now accept him. It is made clear that happiness comes from within and not from the acceptance of others. Engaging and fun, teaches children to respect other's differences. Teaches kids not to be judgmental of others. Charming and fun to watch.
Gerald the giraffe longs to dance like everyone else, but his legs are too skinny, and he just can't seem to get it right. At the Jungle Dance, all the other animals make fun of him, except for the cricket, who shows him how he can be the best dancer of all.
