Kids enjoyed this. "It made me want to learn about the whole world." "The music is pretty." "It was too short."
When you watch this DVD, you are getting much more than a lesson about the environment. You are exposing children to culture, beautiful music and rich story-telling. Feel the excitement of a rain storm coming in after a drought and listen to a native American prayer of thanksgiving as you listen to music and view art appropriate to each story. This collection celebrates people of all races and brings out the joy of simple things in life such as a trip to the pond where a boy and dog make friends with a frog. This video is beautifully executed in every way. We loved the music and the cinematography. Our child viewers sang along with some of the songs like "He's got the Whole World in His Hands." Their favorite story was the rain story.
Through sublime landscapes and warm images of a boy and his family, this adaptation of the beloved folk song creates a dazzling, intimate interpretation that rejoices in the connectedness of people and nature.
