Wonderful, wholesome story that is captivating from the get go. Each scene holds depth and meaning and each character comes full circle in their quest to achieve something - while what they achieve is far more rewarding than what they sought out intimately. Filled with humor and heart. It offers a sort of satisfaction that one could get from watching a full length major motion picture. The characters are solid and easy to relate to thus allowing the viewer to connect with the story. Very enjoyable script and characters. The acting is a bit amateurish, but the essence of each character shines brightly making it forgivable. Some of the dialogue holds deep meaning. It's written in a way where it's easy to understand the point. Also, the fact that the old lady whom they befriend takes an unexpected turn at the end offers another portal into the moral and rich content that could be extracted from this film. The structure, style and continuity of the film are all wonderfully done. It comes full circle with a calm yet curious tone. At times, too much light flood certain scenes or the transitions of scenes aren't spliced together close enough but it's not obvious to a point that it hurts the overall impact of the film. It has a certain nostalgic sense, encompassing the atmosphere of high school. Each character is original and sticks to a style of clothing. The opening is very good- the shot of the basket of oranges with faces drawn on them is aesthetically pleasing. Well done.
