Kids were quite enthusiastic about the dancers but did not want to dance along to the video. They seemed to believe it was a video to watch. They did some arm movements but didn't get up and move along like it encouraged them. They did enjoy the story and the characters. The boys eagerly awaited the pirate waking up to see his dance while the girls wanted the fairy tale to unfold and free the prince. Each child had their favorite character - Colby liked the pirate, Cara, the cat. The girls who go to dance class talked about dance class; that's how she related to it.
Nicely done, probably best suited for a niche audience, especially those who are into fairy tales and dance. It tells a story but younger ones may have difficulties following it. It flows very nicely, with a different characters being represented by different dance styles. The idea is to get kids up and dancing and, although it tries to simplify the move, it would be difficult for kids under age five. The production is good, backgrounds are simple but they work. The costumes are fun.
Seven children get sucked into the magical world of the Music Box. In order to free themselves and the Prince they must dance along and learn each music box character's dance. Interactive.
