Makes comedic sense out of s serious situation. It is tastefully executed and witty. Addresses current events in an interesting manner that students can relate to. The dialogue between the two men is particularly witty. The casting and acting are well done, the dialogue is well written, the timing is excellent. This is a touchy subject but it is sensitively executed. Using humus to represent the land, dividing it using pita as a wall and having an American try to intervene, then taking the bottle of oil is ingenious. Well done. Well done and well developed. The question is why didn't the Israeli just order another hummus rather than taking the one that was put in front of the Palestinian by accident?
Gold Award, KIDS FIRST! Best 2009. A political satire about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the Middle East, an Israeli and a Palestinian meet at a dinner party and begin to fight over a plate of hummus.
