The older brother and his little sister hold grudges. She refuses to speak English and adapt to her new setting while he has immersed himself in the America culture and wants his sister to do the same. The brother is a little over the top mean at the onset but they eventually develop a bond. While predictable and full of clichés, it has a certain charm. Amazingly well developed for a middle school student with interesting film techniques.
Eleven-year-old Milena lives in France while older brother Jean-Luc lives and works in Los Angeles. Separated by language, divorced parents and two continents, their strained relationship is challenged during an afternoon together.
