Teaches Chinese words and phrases while it tells a light and enjoyable story. The animation is simple but effective and consistent throughout the movie. The simplicity allows the viewer to focus on the language rather than being swept away by fantastic animation. It is age appropriate and the language learning is slow and consistent enough for actual learning. Social interactions are very respectful. The story is simple and is told as though it is a Chinese fable. Very respectful of kids' ability and propensity to learn new languages.
