It's inspiring because kids are talking for themselves about the projects they are doing and the choices they have made, on their own, not because their parents told them to do it. It's very likely that kids who watch this will be motivated to do something in their own community. "I was impressed to see the control the teens took over their lives to help others when they could have been playing video games or doing something less challenging. "
This is a positive episode demonstrating that even though kids under 18 are barred from doing normal things a good citizen do, such as vote, they can do their own part to help their communities - feeding the elderly, testing toys for lead, etc. The film is not just educational but an inspiration to kids to educate them in how they can help others. The fact that the film does not just preach about HOW to be a good citizen but shows kids who are actually DOING community service is inspirational. Well structured, good production quality, positive message.
