Liked it. "It was funny and we liked how she saved the world." "The main characters are Wordgirl, the monkey and her enemy. We feel like we're smart like Wordgirl." The boy was doing dangerous things and didn't play fair. But, by doing the right thing, Wordgirl always won." They liked Wordgirl's costume and that she could fly. "We'd like to be Wordgirl." "I'd watch it again - right now!"
Funny and interesting. Nice to see an empowered girl heroine who is strong, smart, funny and socially responsible. Fun action-adventure style without the violence. Great music. Fun, almost comic-book looking animation style with wide lines outlining the characters. This should have broad appeal. Good moral- about how good prevails over bad. Love how it introduces new words and definitions and how they are stealth fully worked in. i.e.. Distraction and vegetarian.
Chronicles the adventures of Becky Botsford, a fifth-grader who transforms into WordGirl, caped crusader and definition dynamo! With the help of her monkey sidekick, WordGirl spends each episode defeating a quirky cast of villains.
