Kids had mixed responses. They noticed how everyone treated each other well but noticed some pixilation in the video (though they didn't call it that), and pointed out how the actors didn't seem all that believable. Some commented: "I thought it was cool." "I would watch it with my grandpa." "I liked the quiz about the tools." One child commented that the ice cream man's hand went right through the counter when he put his hand on it. Favorite parts: how to build a fence, how to put in pickets, and how to make a fence straight. .
Cute production, combines live action and animation. Clean, wholesome and appealing to families. Production values are weak, particularly the audio. A good effort for an indie producer and deserves an audience but don't expect a professional looking production. The content is wonderful, showing a family working together building a fence. Good information about using different tools. The one star is due to the poor production values. The style is very unsophisticated and it works for younger children and isn't cloying enough to drive off adults. Among other things, it teaches the names and tasks of various tools.
Papa Fix-It and his grandchildren build a fence around Gammie's garden. Becca and the other kids learn to use tools to build a fence.
