I wanted to mention that I personally really appreciated Kappa Mikey, and the way it seeks to introduce another culture via its animation. The show is fast-paced and fun, about an American cartoon character who somehow becomes part of a Japanese animation. Mikey is drawn in the US style for kids animated shows, whereas the other characters are drawn in the Japanese animation style. Effectively deals with issues of friendship and loyalty, and making people feel welcome. It also suggests friends can be found in people who don't seem approachable at first. This show will not appeal to everyone, but those it does appeal to will love it.
After winning a role on Lili-Mu, a hit anime show in Japan, Mikey Simon is catapulted to super-stardom in a country he knows nothing about. He and the rest of the cast must adjust to his new-found fame - and all of the crazy adventures along the way.
