Bindi the Jungle Girl raises awareness of the plight of endangered species, and some of the efforts made to protect and repopulate them. Bindi is fun and engaging, and is comfortable with wild animals like snakes and koala bears. There are many clips wither her father the Crocodile Hunter, who would appeal to children for his exuberance and ability to handle dangerous animals. It expands children's' horizons, which for the 5-8 age group is usually fairly self-centered, to other places and concerns outside of their own well-being. Promotes the importance of knowledge for helping these animals and safe interaction with these wild animals.
Bindi introduces us to the wonderful world of wildlife from her cozy tree house set high up in the rainforest. She explains how all animals are worthy of our respect and protection. In this episode, Bindi takes us on a tour of her Tree House, introduces us to her many animal friends and explains why we need to help animals whose habitats have been threatened or destroyed by human intrusion.
