The kids really enjoyed learning about what different animals eat and which animals are endangered. The boys really liked the underwater pictures of hippos and some were fascinated by fighting elephants. "It was neat to see how the animals lived in the zoo and how it compares to where they are from." The children seemed to learn a lot and were able to repeat the information and teach others.
Excellent primer for a visit to the St. Louis Zoo, or a similar zoo. It has good information about the exhibits so that it stands alone, whether or not you actually visit the zoo. Obviously, the St. Louis Zoo is a fabulous place - there is so much to see that it makes you want to go there. Well produced DVD with good video, audio and style. So much information is presented. There is something for everyone - no one should be bored. The youth hosts are terrific. The adults from the zoo are excellent about breaking down information into components the kids can easily understand. Everything is presented clearly and concisely.
Matt and Brittney travel to the St. Louis Zoo, where they feed lorikeets, help set butterflies free, learn about endangered beetles, and see hippos glide through the water.
