All the kids loved it. "This is one of my favorite Veggie Tales movies!" "I love Larry Boy. I could watch him every day - well almost." "I could relate to it because I'm really into computer games too. Larry boy reminds me of Daffy Duck when he was Super Duck in one episode." "It's like the Spider Man movie." "I like the humor like when they called the Mayflower the Cauliflower."
Great movie. This film delivers a terrific message about temptation. It shows how getting all you want sometimes makes you weak. It is enjoyable and funny, yet you walk away understanding the lesson. When the "bad apple" suggests to each character what they need to hear to fall into temptation, it provides an excellent talking point for kids. Temptations are perfect for young children - eating too many sweets, playing games more than they should, even worrying about appearances. It's a tricky topic handled well. Large words are repeated enough times to become familiar by the end - a plus for adding to a child's vocabulary. This would make a fantastic film for a church, synagogue, home or public library.
The Bad Apple tries to take control of the citizens of Bumblyburg by making them give in to their weaknesses. Can the heroic LarryBoy save the day in time?
