They also said that they thought non-Christians would like it because it's a good story. "I you have a lot of money, this is a good story to watch so you know not to go and spend it all." "It reminds me that God will forgive me if I make a mistake - I just have to talk to Him about it and ask for forgiveness."

Well produced, good music and 2-D animation. The New Testament story is accurately told and consistent with the Biblical story. Children can witness Jacob's irresponsible behavior and his repentance as well as his father's forgiveness and love. Moral lessons include: "with privilege goes responsibility," "wants and necessities are often different," and "the Father's love is unconditional and larger than we can comprehend."

A wayward son reunites with his father and family after squandering his inheritance through wasteful and idolatrous living. Teaches God's overwhelming and encompassing love for those who humbly repent their foolish ways. English and Spanish.
