Enjoyed by Christian kids. "We liked this because it's interesting and not boring. "I think my friends would like this because they are learning about Jesus rising from the dead in their religious classes. Some of my friends who don't go to church would like it because it's about history." "This move doesn't snow any violence but I know that Jesus was whipped, had a crown of thorns put on his head and was nailed to a cross - all of which are very violent. I'm glad they didn't show that in this movie because it's upsetting to watch and I can picture it in my head."
Well produced, follows the Biblical story of Jesus' resurrection, quoting the Biblical passages that refer to what they're showing. Violent details, such as the nail holes in Jesus' hands, that could be very graphic are displayed without grotesqueness. It pulls out the emotions of the resurrection story, showing lights streaming from the grade and blond angels talking with dramatic music in the background. The child in the film gives someone young viewers can relate to. The 2-D animation is appealing. Images are crisp and the background music enhances the presentation. Holds attention. Good bonus features.
Sorrow and despair at the Lord's crucifixion become complete joy and love as the disciples behold their resurrected Master three days later. The story of the greatest miracle of all, the resurrection and ascension of Jesus. English and Spanish.
