Mixed reviews. "I liked it because it has good drawings and you learn a lot." "The costumes looked like pictures I've seen of people from that time." "It made me think about what the war must have been like." "It's a little slow but I liked the music." "It told some other stuff that I never heard about like the guy who wouldn't send supplies for the soldiers." "It's boring. I don't think I'd watch it again unless I had to for history class."
Tastefully done. Shows historical battles without being traumatizing. Some parts are confusing such as when Washington received the message from Congress saying they were not going to pay for soldiers any longer. Great way to enhance history lessons about our first president shown as the quintessential American role model. He's portrayed as a sympathetic and intelligent leader who's concern for his men outweighed his personal ambitions. It's a bit choppy. The many battle scenes become confusing.
Follow Washington's contributions to the forming of a new nation and final peace in 1783. This inspiring tale shows Washington at his best--courageous, determined, humble, brave, and patriotic. English and Spanish.
