Mixed reviews. "I liked it." "I loved it." "It was too slow." "I don't think a six-year-old girl would have been that helpful on that day." "The girl wants to be a hero and when the plane crashed she saves her grandpa." I really liked that song, 'A Little Bit of Hero.'" One boy grabbed his tape recorder and tried to tape the song at the end. "It helps us remember that we all can do great things."
Good presentation with excellent line drawings. A bit confusing in regards to 9/11 because it addresses problems that were not related to the Twin Towers. Appealing messages: Courage and heroism aren't dependent upon age or size but rather on heart and being brave doesn't mean that one isn't scared. Great ending song - "A little bit of hero." "This movie brought tears to my eyes as I remembered 9/11 but I don't think kids without a specific connection to the events of 9/11 would have the same feelings." Good example of how one child can be a hero.
