Held their attention. Evoked a few good laughs. "I liked it a lot." "My friends would like the alien part." It has cool music." "I'm not sure why Trevor is there, he interrupts the story." "I saw Caucasian, African American, and Chinese kids." "Good film on an important subject." "It teaches you to be who you are." They liked the photography and how the live action blends with the animation.
Good subject, beneficial message - "be who you are." Emphasizes kindness. Children are encouraged to develop their self-esteem. This program encourages them to identify with the idea that making mistakes doesn't mean you can't become successful. Good animation with a live host, Trevor. Fast pace, appropriate music. Very current with cell phones, music, skate boards, etc. The issue of cliques is a serious one and needs to be talked about. This film helps open up the discussion and makes kids aware of the problem.
