Excellent for kids interested in learning another language. Others didn't get up and walk away. Showing the entire thing at once is a bit much. They did understand what was going on. "The pictures make it easy to figure out what they are saying." "The songs were cool but we didn't understand the words until we played it in English." Most said they'd watch it again. This is not a video that most kids would watch without some adult intervention. .
Makes learning another language fun and interesting. Good visuals and music. Well organized and logical. Images make the meaning clear - even if you have no experience with the language. Good animation - colorful and clear. Comes with a parent's guide explaining how to use it. Suitable vocabulary for early learners covering elements such as going to school, numbers, alphabet, animals, differences, and types of food. Positive role modeling throughout. Definitely requires multiple viewings. Wonderful way to learn another language.
Teaches children French by watching, listening & singing along. Developed by the Language Workshop for Children (LWFC) in New York City. The LWFC was founded in 1973 by Francois Thibaut, a pioneer in early language acquisition. CNN has called Mr. Thibaut "one of the very few experts in teaching languages to children."
