Big hit with those interested in learning another language. "I liked learning German." All said they'd like to watch it again. Actually, because of the massive amount of information, repeat viewing is essential. "This movie teaches you a different language and words in German and that is fun." Showing the entire thing in German at one sitting is too much.

Makes learning another language fun and interesting. Uses clever visuals and engaging songs presented in a clear and colorful format. Includes a parent's guide. Vocabulary is quite impressive, covering a multitude of words one would experience through a typical day. Makes use of repetition. Very logical and well sequenced. Good articulation of words. Good modeling of a variety of affirmative phrases. Songs separating the segments are excellent as well.

Teaches children German by watching, listening & singing along. Developed by the Language Workshop for Children (LWFC) in New York City. The LWFC was founded in 1973 by Francois Thibaut, a pioneer in early language acquisition. CNN has called Mr. Thibaut "one of the very few experts in teaching languages to children."
