FIFTEEN MINUTES: OF MICE AND MOPS cover image
Mixed reviews from the kids. "It is kind of funny and kind of nonsense." "Lots of weird stuff keeps happening and you cannot really understand it." "I really liked the puppets but the story is confusing. " Their favorite parts were the mouse chasing the announcer and when the mouse falls in love with the mop.
Great sets and great puppetry. Characters have strong personalities. The news show format is cute and the way the characters keep reappearing keeps it interesting. It's weakest part is the humor which misses its audience. It is, for the most part, beyond the understanding of kids.
Global Puppet News Reporter Wes Naxman tries to hold the news show together when curmudgeonly Senior News Anchor Owl Capone, accidentally dosed with a love potion, abandons his post to pursue the object of his affections... a mop. Things are complicated by the appearance of a spatula-wielding gourmet ninja chef, a runaway speedboat, and the loss of the program's sponsor. Well, maybe losing the Mrs. Goodpuppet's Deluxe Discount Bakery cheeseburger-and-pepperoni-zero-carbohydrate muffins account isn't an entirely bad thing. Wes soldiers on until Owl's potion wears off and order is restored to the newsroom... or is it?
