My nine-year-old walked by, saw it, and stayed until the end. He laughed during it and commented that everything was backward from how it ought to be. A dog owned a fish and he thought that funny.

Fun, well produced. Goofy. Kids this age are old enough to understand that this is all pretend so it is funny and not distressing when the fish appears out of the water, dancing away. They can also appreciate the quirky humor in instances like the fish craving a burger rather than fish food.

In the classic style of Hanna-Barbera, with a twist of Jimmy Buffet, Uncle Moondog is a scruffy, fun-loving terrier who lives on the beaches of Sunshine Island. He spends his days singing about his friends and driving around in his transforming dune buggy. The first in a series of animated short films starring Uncle Moondog, 'New Goldfish' entertains us with the story of how Uncle Moondog met and became best friends with a wise-cracking goldfish named Timmy. Delivered in music video format, Uncle Moondog and his unusual friends have everyday adventures that engage kids 2-10. Multi-talented singer/creator/director Mike McManus and producer Toni Casala have developed a package which includes two completed ten-song Uncle Moondog audio CD's, a children's sing-a-long book and two plush toys.
