Interesting short that would appeal to middle and high school students. Imaginative, reasonably good production values. Unusual story line - the pen has a mind of its own and refuses to compete with nefarious acts or let a woman write her suicide note.

THE PEN is found by five characters. Four wish to write notes with it for devious purposes but find THE PEN has one of its own. The fifth character, using THE PEN but for a different purpose, discovers in herself a life that's truly her own!
