Good though not exciting. Kids enjoyed the songs and said their friends would like the character of Cousin Chris. They also liked the dancing frog. "I can't believe the frog can dance like that. It's really good." Most of all, they liked the story and wanted to hear more. "The story was good and so was the song. They just weren't totally exciting."
Well produced, good animation. Promotes admiration and love of family while stimulating language development of terms such as "family tree." The relationship between Ribert and Robert is very sweet and caring. The content is very basic, even for pre-school kids. Children learn how to distinguish between mother and father ducks. Leeny the Storyteller helps the children cope with wearing glasses and bein gteased and sings songs in Spanish. The bilingual aspect is a plus for all.
Ribert, Robert and the Power Pals learn about the importance of family and the people they love. Dara Duck uses her science book to identify the members of a duck family. Leeny the Story Performer talks about growing up in her family and Cousin Chris draws and paints a picture of his new baby boy Frankie.
