This is a great way to learn about other cultures. Going to school at night, paddling a boat to school, or learning lessons on a bus, "Going to School in India" teaches about other cultures through children narrating their own school experiences. Viewers feel as if they are right there with the children through regional music and beautiful images. This film emphasizes not only the differences in children around the world, but also the similarities. There were a few times when it was difficult to understand the narrator because of accents. For the most part, it was very understandable and interesting. The kids viewing were drawn to the film because of the children narrating and because of the different lifestyles and it promoted a lot of discussion about the other cultures. The short segments made for easy viewing and discussion.
