When Luna, the Moon Fairy, visits Blue and Joe during a blue moon, she relates the legend of the blue puppy. During the eve of the first blue moon, a litter of puppies was born that included one blue puppy bearing a golden key, destined to be Blue's greatest gift. When Blue and Joe find the key, they cannot figure out what the key unlocks. What they finally unlock opens up a whole new dimension within Blue's Clues that features puppetry, new characters, and a fresh insight into Blue's thoughts.
