WARNER BRO. HOME ENTERTAINMENT
Kids really enjoyed watching and learning about the whale. "We learned to care for animals and stand up when you're afraid." "It was fun to watch and sad too." Enjoyed playing games included on DVD, and visiting the website.
Good story, age appropriate. Nice representations of different gender and ethnic roles. Challenging themes such as pursuing your dreams against the odds and good versus evil. Demonstrates the right thing to do is not always easy and takes hard work.
Jesse, a 13-year-old orphan gets caught spray painting a whale tank at a local park and is sentenced to clean up the tank he vandalized. He and Willy, the whale who inhabits the tank form a bond and dare to elude a sordid aquarium owner.
