LIBERTY KIDS: DEBORAH SAMSON, SOLDIER OF THE REVOLUTION

Liberty's Kids is a new TV series coming to PBS this fall. The stories draw from the battles fought and lessons learned by people trying to revolutionize government. Via the eyes of two young apprentice reporters, today's kids go on adventures in search of the real stories of the American Revolution. Sarah is a proper British girl right off the ship from England while James is a fifteen-year-old apprentice who sees things from a cocky colonist's perspective. They meet historical figures that are famous such as George Washington, and those that should be, like Phillis Wheatley - a published poet while still enslaved.
