Fabulous cinematography, excellent story, great acting, and authentic costumes. Illustrates the pitfalls of judging someone who is different than you. Rich cultural experience. Subtitled which is challenging for kids but preserves the authenticity.
An Eskimo boy comes to a superstitious settlement in Iceland and is believed to be an emissary of the devil. When the boy makes friends with the priest's son, he proves to be a blessing rather than a curse and the villagers must reconsider their beliefs.
