Some were transfixed, others became restless. Younger ones pointed to the animals and counted along. They enjoyed the school theme. "Look, Miffy goes to school like me." "Miffy is cute." "I set the table like Miffy." They liked the musical interludes.
Slow, gentle. Bold colors, simple graphics, pleasant music. Child narrator is cute and engaging. Everyone is respectful and helpful. Barbara Bear gets a cold washcloth for Boris; a fish offers Nellie Kitten a ride. At times the pace is quite slow.
