Kept them glued to the screen. All around great story, interesting, with laughs too. "It's different from new Disney movies. The jokes are different. Even my mom would like it." "I want to go and learn more about King Arthur. Were he and Merlin real?"
Quite entertaining. Classic tale of the under dog: good will prevail. Straightforward presentation and creative style make it an easy reference to Camelot and historical Europe. Fine production although animation is not as expertly done as today's films.
England is in the midst of a dark age and without a proper king. Young "Wart," an orphan squire-in-training, is content with kitchen duties in his foster home - until Merlin teaches him three life lessons about intellect, wisdom and love.
