Probably not a video that teens will pick up without some persuasion. None were overly enthusiastic about it. All agreed they would have liked more action. It held their attention but didn't captivate them.
Using a dramatic-reading style, honors Poe's story with integrity. Doesn't dumb down the language. Michael Sollazzo's portrayal as the psychotic murderer is sensitively portrayed. The gruesome details are left to the imagination of the viewer.
This faithful adaptation Poe's best known short story explores murder, madness, and betrayal in a compelling study of a man driven by his own demons to take the life of another.
