Enjoyable. Kids related to the main character. "Melody didn't mind her mother and sometimes I get into trouble for not minding my mother." "I loved all the animals under the sea." "The music was great." There was some name-calling.

Delightful fantasy about life under the sea - a fairy tale with female heroines. Ariel is independent and follows her dream and makes a great role model. Good messages about communication and trust. Slapstick comedy is used a lot.

Ariel must return to the sea to rescue her daughter from Ursula's revengeful sister and to foil a plot to take over the Seven Seas. Ariel reunites with her friends, Sebastian, Flounder and Scuttle, to restore harmony. Stars Jodi Benson, Samuel Wright.
