Encourages kids to think of solutions to problems and believe in their dreams. Enhances self esteem for minority children and reinforces persistence. Older kids tease Butch's initially but help him later. Adult representations are not always positive.

Butch wants it to snow so bad he can feel it in his bones. But if the weatherman is right and Whiz's computer is on target, Avenue E won't see snow for quite some time. So, Butch comes up with a special plan to make his snow dream come true.
