Kids enjoyed the movie, especially Shirley Temple. Girls liked it best, though most of the kids enjoyed it. They thought Shirley was funny.
Excellent opportunity to introduce kids to the book by Kate Douglas Wiggin. Discussion about the time period helps understand portrayal of minorities.
Shirley Temple sings, dances, and charms her way through this classic. Orphan Rebecca auditions for a radio show and doesn't get hired, so her stepfather sends her off to live with relatives while the show's talent agent searches frantically for her.
