Who is Irving Lazar?
Irving Lazar, Professor Emeritus, Cornell University
Dr. Lazar received his Doctorate from Columbia University and was an intern at the Menninger Clinic. He is a Resident Scholar at the Kennedy Center for Research in Human Development at Vanderbilt University, was a Fellow at the East-West Center in Honolulu and a member of the external faculty of the Santa Fe Institute. Dr. Lazar conducted longitudinal studies on the effects of early intervention with infants and preschool children and has designed and evaluated service programs for children and their familes in this country and abroad. He served as a Trustee of the Coalition for Quality Children Media for 10 years and then as a member of its Honorary Board. He passed away May 1, 2012.
