"There are lots of different types of people here - Indians, cowboys, Egyptians, soldiers, good guys, bad guys. Every one is pretty much stereotyped but not in a bad way. Attila the Hum is mean until Larry tried to understand him.." There is a lot of fighting, hitting teasing and name-calling. But, it's unrealistic." "It did make me think about history. There is so much to see. You would have to watch it over and over to see everything." "I loved the dinosaur. He seemed very realistic." "The costumes were great and matched the time each person or animal was from." "The special effects were amazing. It seemed like some of it was right here in the room with us. This would be cool in 3D." "The lesson was about how you really need to be dedicated to what you are doing. Sometimes you need to put yourself in the other person's place to understand them and to know why they behave the way they do." Overall, the kids thought it was really funny, held their interest and that adults would like it as much as kids. They loved the sets, costumes, and special effects. They talked about how it teaches about consequences, cause and effect, peer pressure and how to stand up for yourself and others. It made them want to find out more about history. A huge HUGE hit!

Delightful mix between Jumanji and Harry Potter though not as scary as either of those. It delivers good messages about courage and self respect. There is also a sub-text, about learning history, that Larry makes good use of. Robin Williams' portrayal of Teddy Roosevelt is hysterical. Ben Stiller, as Larry Daley, is believable and laughable. Contains some crude language, potty humor and slapstick violence.

Ben Stiller leads an all-star cast, including Robin Williams, in this hilarious blockbuster hit. When Larry Daley (Stiller) is hired as Museum night watchman, he soon discovers that all the exhibits come to life after the sun sets. Suddenly, Larry finds himself face to face with frisky T-Rex skeleton, tiny armies of Romans and cowboys and a mischievous monkey who taunts him to the breaking point. But Larry may just figure out a way to control the chaos and become a hero in his son's eyes.
